It's a few weeks overdue, but as they say, it's better late than never. Longtime Stride Pro Wrestling referee Lane Austin is back doing what he does best. He had been out of action for a few months due to some health problems. But on Saturday, May 26 he returned to ref the tag team championship match at Stride Goes Steel.

That match went well, so Lane was tasked with being the enforcer in five of the seven matches at the Christopher Homecoming show a week later. Despite the heat, Lane performed top notch as always and tells me he feels great.

I will tell you this, Lane is not out of the woods yet, but he is getting better and stronger every day. In the two-plus years that I've known him, Lane has proven time and time again he's the real deal. He's one of the best in the business as far as I'm concerned and more importantly a quality human being. Welcome back, my friend. I'm glad to see you living out your passion.
