March is coming in like a ... PIG

Forget the lion and the lamb.  For this guy, March is moving in more like a pig.  February was a rough month keeping on course with my fitness and nutrition goals.  I can sit here and list excuses as to why I didn't hit the gym as often as I was supposed to or why I ate and drank in excess several times, but that's a waste of all our time.

Excuses don't mean anything.  The time has come and gone and I'm refocusing on the task at hand.  By this point in my program, which started January 3, I was hoping to see better results.  Looking in the mirror, I don't notice any significant changes.

I take responsibility for this set back.  I'm going to take the lessons learned over the last 29 days and make different choices.  March too will be a rough month.  I'm already mentally planning what I'm going to eat and when I'm going to workout when we hit Disney World.

On a positive note, I've kept my intake of sweet treats pretty low. February's gluttony included alcohol, a lot of Mexican food and more diet soda than I normally drink. I slacked in the last week of the month with workouts too.  But as we flip the page on a new month, I'm reminding myself this is a fresh start.

Zack Ryder
Warmer temperatures in the spring months and training for an upcoming relay race should add some miles to my running app and I've found a new workout program courtesy of WWE Superstar Zack Ryder.  Hopefully by the end of March the pig is gone and I'm roaring like a lion.
