All week I'll be writing blogs to countdown to the upcoming Stride Pro Wrestling show "Brave the Storm." It's a benefit to raise money for families in southern Illinois who recently lost their homes or suffered damage during the February 28 tornado.

If you read yesterday's post about Tyrus coming to the show on May 6, ignore that. Stride general manager Sam Hunter received word Monday morning that Tyrus is not going to be able to make it to the show. Instead, former TNA Heavyweight Champion and tag team specialist James Storm will be coming to Pinckneyville, Illinois.

Storm has been a mainstay with Impact Wrestling I believe since TNA's origins. He teamed with "Wildcat" Chris Harris as America's Most Wanted and with Bobby Roode as Beer Money. Both teams were successful in TNA/Impact Wrestling. Storm left briefly for NXT before coming back to his home and joining forces with Bram and Eddie Kingston.

In recent weeks though Storm has found himself on his own and once again being cheered by the fans. I've been to a couple of TNA events, but have yet to have a chance to meet Storm, so I'm looking forward to the opportunity. Again, the meet & greet is $10 and begins at 5 p.m. at Community Consolidated School District 204 in Pinckneyville, Illinois.
