Stride Pro Wrestling: On the road again

By Kevin Hunsperger
@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter

It's hard to believe two years have just passed since the first ever Stride Pro Wrestling show. The company has come a long way in that short amount of time, hosting fundraisers in front of capacity crowds and raising thousands of dollars for worthy causes. The Anniversary Show is happening this Saturday but in a different venue. If you've been following along this year so far, we've been bumped from our location at the Illinois Star Centre Mall in Marion. Long story, but eventually things will work out (we hope).

That being said, Saturday, March 10 Stride hits the road again with a show at the Cambria Village Hall. Where is that you ask? The address is 302 S. Richart St. in Cambria.

There will be lots of action Saturday night, including a tag team title rematch. The new champs, Ax Allwardt and Heath Hatton will defend against the DR Party, Dexter Roswell and Scott Phoenix. Bo Sawyer takes on Joey O'Riley and Bull Bronson will no doubt have words for Roger Matheus. Who's fancy will J. Wellington Beauregard strike? All your other favorites from Stride Pro Wrestling will be on hand and a new face or two as well.

Don't forget, we're in a new spot this Saturday night. Bell time is 6:30 and tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

Irresistible force vs. Immovable object

Bull Bronson confronts Roger Matheus

@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter

Gorilla Monsoon made the phrase "the irresistible force meets the immovable object" during the main event of WrestleMania III. That night it was Hulk Hogan battling Andre the Giant. I believe there's never been a more appropriate time to utter that phrase at a Stride Pro Wrestling than now. 400 pound Bull Bronson goes one on one with near 300 pound Roger Matheus.

Matheus interferes
Courtesy: Steve Belcher
The bad blood all stems from an incident at the end of the main event last month. Bronson was battling Jay Spade for the Stride Pro Wrestling Championship. Matheus, frustrated by his inability to beat Spade for the title back in January and coming up short in the Stride Rumble, hit the ring before the match was over. The former champ got involved and caused Bronson to get disqualified.
Courtesy: Steve Belcher
The two went nose to nose before Matheus retreated and grabbed me for some reason. Just before he attempted to destroy me in the ring, Bull returned and saved the day. The two behemoths then traded blows before Matheus retreated to the locker room.

Bull makes the save
Saturday night's showdown will be one for the ages. This is quite literally the biggest one on one match Stride Pro Wrestling has seen. Despite being a good guy, Bronson has a mean streak in him. He'll need it as Matheus is the most intimidating wrestler I've ever encountered. His record also speaks for itself.

Join us Saturday night. We're helping raise money for Christopher Elementary School. Bell time is 7 p.m.
See you there.

This friendship is flooded

@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter

Fans of Stride Pro Wrestling may not know that rivals Jay Spade and Tony Flood have a very storied history together. The two grew up in Christopher and were the best of friends through the teenage years. They even got into the pro wrestling business together. You can hear Flood's take on it in this week's My 1-2-3 Cents podcast
Bull Bronson vs. Jay Spade
Courtesy: Steve Belcher
Each man took a different path after splitting up as a tag team. I met Jay in All-American Pro Wrestling where he proved time and time again that his heart and drive helped him achieve success and the admiration of the fans. I didn't meet Flood until he debuted in Stride Pro Wrestling where he was estranged from Spade and had distanced himself from his hometown roots, adopting Canada as his home.

Flood wins the Stride Rumble

Now the two are on a collision course and it's all coming to a head in the very school they met. Flood's path to the championship match is more colluded than Spade's. Tony hasn't always used the most respectable tactics in the ring. In fact, he hid under the ring during the Stride Rumble earlier this month before dumping Roger Matheus to become the number one contender. Some may consider that a smart strategy, which it did work out for Flood in the end. Spade, however, has faced giants and monsters not only to win the Stride Pro Wrestling Championship but to defend it.

This match will no doubt be amazing. Both men put 110% in the ring. Flood is hungry, but Spade has worked too long to win the title to just let it go. We'll see you Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Christopher Grade School.

When ring announcing gets painful

Hoisted up
@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter

The usual post Stride Pro Wrestling buzz I feel on a Sunday after a show has been replaced with pain. We had a great show and our host John A. Logan College was more than accommodating to us. A full recap of the show will be a part of Monday's My 1-2-3 Cents podcast on the Jittery Monkey Podcasting Network. So why am I in pain?

I'm glad you asked. Quick backstory. You may remember my blog from last month when Roger Matheus attacked referee Lane Austin after being disqualified in his match against Stride Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Jay Spade. At Saturday night's show, Matheus confronted General Manager Sam Hunter, demanding another title match. Spade was defending against Bull Bronson and Matheus found that unfair. Hunter's compromise was to put Matheus in the Stride Rumble, which the winner would be deemed number one contender.

Matheus made it to the final two but was dumped over the top rope by a sneaky Tony Flood. Fast forward to the match between Bull and Spade. As Spade climbed the top rope, Matheus emerged and knocked the champion off. That meant Bull would be disqualified and as you can imagine that angered the 400-pound beast. He and Matheus went nose to nose. I turned around to put the mic away because the night was over at that point.

Bull left the ring and exchanged high fives with fans. Little did I know, Matheus exited the ring to and came up behind me. He grabbed me and threw me onto the ring apron. My back hit the bottom rope and I bounced back like a rubber ball. Matheus rolled me again and I ended up in the middle of the ring. Matheus came in behind me and I remember seeing his giant boots and begging him not to hurt me.
Bull makes the save
The next thing I know I'm on his massive shoulders. I could see Lane pleading with Matheus to put me down. A moment later, I felt a tug at my waist. It was Bull pulling me to safety. I hit the mat and quickly rolled out to the floor. Bull then nailed Matheus with a right hook. Matheu rolled out of the ring but jawed more with Bull.

I'm sore, but feeling good that Bull was still close by and made the save. I have no doubt I'd likely not be capable of writing his blog today had Matheus had finished what he started. Now he has Bull to contend with on Saturday, March 3 at Christopher Grade School.

Fun Fact Friday: Bull Bronson

Bull Bronson
Courtesy: Steve Belcher
@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter

There aren't many guys bigger than Bull Bronson in the world of professional wrestling. It's safe to say he's the biggest and maybe the meanest of the guys on the Stride Pro Wrestling roster, although I'd like to see what Roger Matheus thinks of that statement...

Bull vs. Farmer
Courtesy: Jason Wilkey
I first met Bull in 2011 as a part of All American Pro Wrestling. In AAPW, Bull was the definition of a monster heel. He battled fan favorites like Farmer Billy Hills, the Mississippi Madman and eventually won the Pro Wrestling Collision championship from Heath Hatton. Now Bull is a part of the Stride Pro Wrestling roster and hearing the cheers from the fans. I wanted to share more about this veteran of the ring, so here are a few fun facts about Bull Bronson.

1. He is technically a second generation wrestler. His mom was a pro mud wrestler in the 1980s. She was known as Killer Anita.

2. Ring of Honor and TNA star Jay Lethal taught Bull how to throw dropkicks. That's an impressive feat for a man who is north of 400 pounds.

3. One time Bull broke his chest in half but was back in the ring within four months.

Bull has his sights set on Stride Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Jay Spade. The two will battle Saturday night in the multipurpose gym on the campus of John A. Logan College in Carterville. Bell time is 6:30 p.m.

Stride Pro Wrestling switches venues... again

@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter
Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Once again Stride Pro Wrestling finds itself in a new venue. Long story short, our usual home at the Illinois Star Centre Mall has been having issues. The mall itself does not have functioning restrooms and they will not allow us to bring in more than 100 fans. The anchor stores like Dillards and Target have working facilities, but that's not enough for us.

This happened earlier this month and we scrambled. Sadly it has happened again this month, but we had a few more days notice than in January. So No Love Lost 2 will be held in the small gym at John A. Logan College in Carterville. Bell time is still 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6.

I want to personally thank JALC Basketball coach Kyle Smithpeters and Dean of Community Education Barry Hancock for making this possible. The show must go on and it will thanks to the folks at Logan.

The Stride Cup Tournament continues with the mystery competitor from round one facing Ace Hawkins and JD Wilk battles Jose Magnifico. Jay Spade defends the Stride Pro Wrestling Championship against Bull Bronson, Tony Flood gets one last chance against Legacy Champion Chris Hargas. Expect much more Saturday night too, including an appearance Heath Hatton on J. Wellington Beauregard's Striking Your Fancy.

No bull, Bronson is back

In December, Bull Bronson surprised Stride Pro Wrestling fans by making his return to the company. That night he helped Woodlawn School Athletic Director Jan Peterson battle members of the DR Party. It seemed it was a one-time return appearance for Bronson, but General Manager Sam Hunter tells me he has signed Bull back to a full-time contract.

Spade flies onto Bull and others

The big man is wasting no time making his presence known in Stride. He has challenged current heavyweight champion Jay Spade to a match this Saturday night. No Love Lost 2 goes down at the Illinois Star Centre Mall in Marion. It will be great to see this match as I don't recall them ever wrestling each other one on one. I remember Spade did battle Bull in a multi-man match at AAPW's Main Event in 2012. Bronson won that contest.

Spade vs. Matheus
Courtesy: Steve Belcher
However, a lot has happened in the last six years. Spade has come a long way and is one of the hardest working and most dedicated men on the Stride roster. He and Joey O'Riley enjoyed a run as tag team champions and at that same show in Woodlawn, Spade did the unthinkable in beating Roger Matheus for the Stride Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. A month later he retained after Matheus went nuts and got disqualified.

Spade will need to harness that same drive and determination he used against Matheus, as Bull is just as big and as brutal as the former champion. I have no doubt each man will bring their A game to the show this Saturday. Bell time is 6:30 p.m. and tickets are just $10 for adults and $5 for kids. See you there.

Taking things in STRIDE

@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter
Listen to the podcast

Earlier this year a new wrestling company came to life in southern Illinois.  STRIDE Pro Wrestling has been around three months and has already gained quite a following with hundreds of fans showing up for monthly contests.

Heath Hatton
The shows are held at the CMA dojo at the Illinois Star Centre Mall in Marion, Illinois.  It's an unconventional location for a wrestling company, but it is a welcomed feature to an that is in need of live entertainment and  a mall that can use the extra traffic.

The champ Ax Allwardt
Plenty of familiar faces from now defunct southern Illinois wrestling companies are a part of the competition.  The champion is the "Old School Warrior" Ax Allwardt.  But he'll soon face stiff competition as Farmer Billy Hills has a title match at the June 4 show.  Whoever walks out of the ring champ that night has the ever popular Heath Hatton waiting in the wings.  He won a Royal Rumble style battle royal to become the number one contender.

Frank Wyatt & "Homicidal" Steven Davis
There are new tag team champions too.  Frank Wyatt and "Homicidal" Steven Davis beat Jay Spade and Josh Totten in the finals of a tournament to crown the first champs.  Chris Hargas, Tony Flood and Carnage are a part of the company too.  Plus, the monster Bull Bronson, who teams up with WWE Hall of Famer "Cowboy" Bob Orton on that June 4 show to take on Dalton Diamond and Cash Bordin.

Class is in session
Not only are there monthly shows, but CMA is also home to a weekly wrestling school.  Heath and his staff are training the next wave of indy wrestlers here in southern Illinois.  There's a lot of promise as these young men prepare to climb the ranks and battle for the STRIDE champion.

Lane Ferrell & I
Oh, I can't leave out general manager Sam Hunter and referee Lane Ferrell.  Sam has made some key matches, including the Ax vs. Farmer and brining in Orton next month.  Lane is the busiest ref in the business these days.  And yours truly serves as the ring announcer.  It's a lot of fun being involved in a monthly wrestling program again.  If you have a chance come be a part of the action. Introducing Pro Wrestling Elite

By Kevin Hunsperger
@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter

Three years ago if you would have asked me to name five independent wrestlers, I think I would have struggled. Now, after working with two different indy wrestling promotions, I’m proud to say, not only can I name hundreds of independent wrestlers, I can call many of them my friend as well.

If you’re a fan of indy wrestling, you know that many of the same guys and gals wrestle for multiple companies.  While I haven’t had a chance to see them in person, one group I’m learning more about is Pro Wrestling Elite.  The company is based west Tennessee and features some outstanding talent, both rising stars and established legends.  I’ve worked with many of the guys in the locker room, including the very gifted Brandon Espinosa, the wildly popular Farmer Billy Hills, the brutally aggressive Bull Bronson, and the cunningly clever “Golden Boy” Greg Anthony.

Brandon "Espy" Espinosa
Each man shines when he's in the ring, and you can believe they bring 110% when they come out to wrestle.  Most of my experience with Espinosa has been calling his tag matches.  He teams frequently with Ace Hawkins, and the pair has been very successful in the Midwest.  Their match against Team Overkill (Matt Cage and Christian Rose) was my favorite match to call.  They battled in a ladder match that I think rivals anything you’d see on the big stage.

Don't go messin' with this country boy
Farmer Billy Hills
Farmer Billy Hills has a special place in my heart.  I’ve visited his family (two legged and four legged) in Mudlick, Kentucky.  He works just as hard outside the ring as he does inside it.  Farmer does some amazing things between the ropes (and outside them) when you consider how big he is.  I’ve seen him fly through the ropes and take out opponents on the arena floor.  His attitude in the locker room is inspiring, and he never stops learning.

He's a bull in a China shop
Bull Bronson
Bull Bronson is one of the most intimidating and quite honestly brutal wrestlers I’ve ever worked with.  His aggression in the ring has resulted in a lot of pain for his opponents.  I’ve seen Bull take out guys in handicap matches, knock down defenseless announcers, and throw guys through tables like it’s just another day at the office.  He’s a force to be reckoned with, and I suspect we’ve only seen a sampling of the pain and destruction Bull Bronson can deliver.  Simply put, he doesn’t care who gets hurt along the way, and will do what it takes to make it to the top of the mountain.  Honestly, I find his aggression and brutality refreshing.

Good as gold, and he knows it...
"Golden Boy" Greg Anthony
Greg Anthony truly is golden.  He’s an old school wrestler who talks a big game, but unlike many wrestlers today, can back it up in the ring.  Golden Boy is one of my favorite indy guys on the mic today.  He tells fans that he is good as gold, and then climbs into that ring and backs it up.  I had the pleasure over Wrestlemania weekend to see Golden Boy wrestle and do some work on the mic.  He went toe to toe with the legendary Rock ‘N Roll Express, rivals that he and partners like Jason Rage and Matt Riviera have beaten for the PWE tag team titles before.

I’m looking forward to creating a relationship with PWE.  If you’re looking for some great indy action, I would suggest giving these talented wrestlers a look.  Here’s a link to the website, let me know who some of your favorites are on the roster.

Stopping a Charging Bull

Pro Wrestling Collision staff and wrestlers help Fester
Photo courtesy: Pro Wrestling Collision
By Kevin Hunsperger
@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter

To say things got out of hand at the last Pro Wrestling Collision taping would be an understatement.  There were sneak attacks, cheap shots, and even a verbal attack on a five year old girl.  It was crazy.

Perhaps the most surreal moments of the night was waiting the behemoth Bull Bronson lay waste on Collision referees, security staff, and senior ring announcer Bob Fester.  Bronson had previously attacked "The Serial Thriller" Shane Rich.  After refusing to stop the punishment, refs and security tried unsuccessfully to calm down Bull.  Then in a bold move, Bob, a man I have the utmost respect for, attempted to soothe the savage beast.  Blinded by rage, Bronson took a swipe at the 60+ year old Fester.  Bob immediately dropped to the floor and had to be helped back to his feet.

I'm glad that Pro Wrestling Collision owner Chris Hagstrom decided to suspend Bull Bronson.  The safety of everyone had really become a factor.  In a show of support to Bob, my broadcast partner Jerome Cusson has decided to sit out of this weekend's taping.  His full explanation can be read right here.  It's a move I respect and support, but as they say, the show must go on.  Hagstrom will join me in the booth Saturday night and has assured me that security will be increased to ensure the safety of the fans, wrestlers, and staff.  I appreciate the move and look forward to calling a night of solid action.

Here's a preview of what you'll see.  Tickets are just $10.  Join us in Carbondale Saturday night.  It's a big night as Matt Cage follows up on the verbal smackdown he laid on Heath Hatton and his family at the February show.  Hatton's title is on the line, as well as his pride.

The Submission Squad joins us to challenge tag team champions Ace Hawkins and Brandon Espinosa.  The No Limits Title will be defended Saturday night too, as Joey O'Riley puts the gold up against his friend and former tag team partner, Jay Spade.  This will also be the debut of Spade in Pro Wrestling Collision.

Justice, Shane Rich, El Matadoro, and Ax Allwardt are also slated to appear.  No doubt it'll be an emotionally charged and memorable night of independent wrestling action.

5 Things That MUST Happen in 2013

PAC vs. El Generico
AAPW Main Event
Photo courtesy: Wilkey Photography
By Kevin Hunsperger
@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter

2012 was a great year for me personally in the world of professional wrestling.  I had my first (and last match), got to see the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania live in person, and experienced my first two live Chikara shows.

So I've decided to share 5 things that I think need to happen in 2013.  I'm basing my thoughts on the promotions that I regularly watch WWE, Chikara, TNA, and Pro Wrestling Collision.  I was going to include ROH, but I've literally seen one show this year (a live event in Chicago)

Adrian Neville
Photo courtesy: WWE
Adrian Neville needs to make his main roster debut.  For those who don't know him, Adrian Neville is the wrestler formerly known as PAC, and quite honestly one of the hottest prospects in the business.  It was about a year ago that PAC was first brought to my attention.  He and El Generico had been signed to wrestle at AAPW Main Event in January.  Since I would be calling the match I needed to do some research and of course turned to YouTube.  What I saw then amazed me.  Watching him work his magic in person was even more incredible.  In addition to his match against Generico, I was able to see PAC wrestle Low Ki at a Dragon Gate USA show in Miami.

It wasn't long after that I learned that PAC had been signed by WWE.  He's toiling away now in developmental, but with Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Big E Langston all being called to the main roster, I'd like to think that others will follow suit in 2013.  There is a lot of talent in NXT, but in my opinion, Neville tops the list.  I know he's new there and the chances of him moving up that quickly may be unrealistic, but with a resume like his, I feel he deserves a spot on the main roster, but I hope he doesn't get moved up and then lost in the shuffle.  Timing will be everything in 2013.

Mr. Touchdown & me
Photo by: My 1-2-3 Cents
Mr. Touchdown needs a shot against Chikara Grand Champion Eddie Kingston.  No doubt about it, 2012 was the year of Mr. Touchdown.  Mark Angelosetti made his debut as the cocky jock in Chikara earlier this year.  He and Dasher Hatfield formed an impressive team as the new Throwbacks.  Then he won the Young Lions Cup championship and had some amazing matches with ACH.  Outside of Chikara, Mr. Touchdown won the Top Banana title in Wrestling is Fun.  He also forced Mixed Martial Archie out of the Chikara and destroyed the mascot of the Handsome and Mysterious Stranger.

It seems that the next logical step would be a shot at the grand championship.  Don't get me wrong, Kingston has had an outstanding year too, holding the title since the end of 2011 when it was created.  Angelosetti has earned a shot at the big belt.  It seems right now he's still tying up the loose ends from the feud with Archie and Veronica.  I'll be curious what happens in the first couple of months of Chikara's new season in a couple of weeks.  Hopefully before the year's end, Touchdown will have at least earned a shot at Kingston.

ODB & Eric Young as Knockouts Tag Team Champs
Photo courtesy: TNA
TNA needs to do away with the Knockouts Tag Team titles.  I'll admit, I don't watch a whole lot of TNA at this point, but seriously the Knockouts Tag Team titles lost their luster a long time ago.  A company the size (and TV exposure) of TNA doesn't need six champions.  I'm not knocking female wrestling with this either, but really adding Eric Young into the championship picture in my opinion made the belts a laughing stock.  If TNA was serious about intergender wrestling, then I could get behind this idea.  It's something that's being done on the indy scene on a pretty regular basis, so it's not unheard of to do.

Bull Bronson vs. Justice
AAPW Summer Chaos
Photo courtesy: Bullbronson.com
Bull Bronson needs a shot at the Pro Wrestling Collision title.  Pro Wrestling Collision makes its debut on January 19, and already I'm calling for Bull Bronson to have his spot in the sun.  In All American Pro Wrestling, Bronson was the company's most dominate performer.  He went through everyone he faced, even in handicap matches.  He took out big names like Farmer Billy Hills, Justice, and the wildly popular (and larger) Mississippi Madman.  The next step for Bronson would be a title match.  He has an open challenge set for the January 19 inaugural show, so I'll be curious to see who's brave enough to step up to the plate.

Besides all the competition he's mowed over in AAPW, Bronson made it to the finals of the 7 Deadly Sins Deathmatch Tournament in Chaos Pro Wrestling.  Seeing the pictures from that event proved to me that Bronson is without a doubt a legit bad ass, but really I already knew that.  Bull is also a former NWA Midsouth Heavyweight champion as well.  2013 looks to be a promising year for this still rising star.

Christian Rose & Matt Cage
Photo courtesy: Jason Wilkey
Indy guys need to be recognized more for their efforts.  This is more of a blanket statement. I think 2012 proved that the rising stars on the indy scene have a place with the big boys.  Heath Hatton and Ace Hawkins appeared on WWE Extreme Rules as Jay Hatton and Aaron Relic in a squash with Ryback.  Sure, it was a squash match, but it meant a lot to these guys and their fans to have their names in the spotlight briefly.

I want more indy talent to get a shot on the national scene.  Besides Hatton and Hawkins, guys like Matt Cage, Christian Rose, Brandon Espinosa, Joey O'Riley, Bull Bronson, Alex Castle, The Great Cheyenne, and Angelus Layne all deserve a chance to shine on the national stage.  As Chikara continues to grow in popularity, I'm hoping some of these guys can find a place with the company.  Of course as more NXT guys get called up to the main WWE roster, it'll create openings there as well.  Indy wrestling is the lifeline for the national scene.  It's time for all of us to start supporting these men and women more often.

AAPW Presents: Zero Hour

Zero Hour is coming October 20
By Kevin Hunsperger
@kevinhunsperger & @my123cents on Twitter

Once again, I have to say how proud I am to be a part of All American Pro Wrestling.  AAPW is preparing for its 6th anniversary and the front office has been working hard to put on one heck of a celebration.  Since 2008, the anniversary show has also had the distinction of being a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.  Money raised from tickets, concessions, and several silent auctions and raffles will be given to the charity.

From top to bottom "Zero Hour" is stacked.  This will no doubt be the biggest anniversary show in company history and will no doubt be the best show we've ever done.  Like "Main Event" and "Summer Chaos", "Zero Hour" will be a DVD exclusive.

Mike Masters takes on Edmund "Livewire" McGuire
AAPW champion Mike Masters won the title in controversial fashion at "Summer Chaos", now he defends the title against former champ Edmund "Livewire" McGuire in AAPW's first ever steel cage match.  There is more than just the championship on the line.  There's a lot of raw emotion involved in this match, from Masters stalking Edmund and his young son, to the menacing words he's used against the father and son on social media.  Factor in the volatile nature of their contract signing, this will be nothing less than war.

Climbing to new heights
Team Overkill vs. Brandon Espinosa & Ace Hawkins
In another highly anticipated grudge match, Team Overkill will defend their tag team titles in a ladder match.  Brandon Espinosa and Ace Hawkins have been screwed out of the titles the last couple of times they've competed.  Espy recently won a match against Christian Rose to determine the type of match at Zero Hour.  Since Rose and his partner Matt Cage have used the belts as weapons in recent defenses, Espy and Ace decided to take the match to new heights.

"Boom Boom" returns to AAPW to team with Hatton
Gaylord steps into the ring
"Boom Boom" Colt Cabana makes his AAPW return.  Back in January, Cabana was on the losing end to "3G" Eric Wayne.  This time, he teams up with AAPW hero Heath Hatton to take on the "Old School Warrior" Ax Allwardt and his manager Gaylord Stephens. That's write, the Prince of Polyster will step into the ring against these two great stars.  Hatton has been robbed out of two title opportunities thanks to Stephens, Allwardt, and newcomer J. Wellington Beauregard.  First Ax smashed Heath with a chain helping Masters retain his title.  Then Beauregard and Stephens caused a distraction and helped Adam Pearce pin Heath in their NWA World's Heavyweight title match.

The Reward is in the Risk
KC Jackson takes on Joey O'Riley
"The Main Attraction" KC Jackson has ventured into the singles ranks and is doing quite well for himself as he prepares to take on Joey O'Riley in the finals of the newly established "No Limits Division."  I'm excited about this because the first ever NLD champion will be crowned on the 20th.  Both men have been strong in the tournament.  KC added some momentum by beating Joey and two other No Limits stars, Jay Spade and Sean Vincent in a fatal four way at "Summer Chaos."  Regardless of who wins this one, I'm glad to see guys in a cruise weight category getting to show the fans what they can do together.

Worlds collide
Ultimate battle of the big men
The immovable force meets the irresistible object in the ultimate battle of the big men.  The undefeated Bull Bronson (weighing in at 375 pounds) takes on his biggest challenge in AAPW, and maybe of all time in the Mississippi Madman.  Madman is a former AAPW heavyweight champion and co holder of the tag team titles.  Oh yeah, and he weighs in at more than 450 pounds.  But will he be able to end the streak of Bull?  Should be an interesting contest to say the least.

Will lady luck help Alex Castle?
Kyle Sykes is an up-and-comer in AAPW and he'll meet a relative newcomer to the company, Alex Castle.  When Castle has his good luck charm Angelus Layne by his side, he's been unstoppable.  Can the rising star overcome "the Monster" Castle and his beautiful valet?  We'll find out.

Past meets present in the anniversary Battle Royal
There's also an Anniversary Battle Royal planned for the evening. Ten men will compete in this Royal Rumble style matchup.  You'll see favorites like Chocolate Thunder, "Farmer" Billy Hills, and Justice.  The powerhouse Truk Thompson and the Convoy will also be in the battle royal.  So who will be the four remaining entrants?  We do know a philanthropist has secured a couple of those spots, so no telling who will enter this event.  Be at the show on the 20th and find out.

We'll also find out what the future holds for former AAPW champion "Serial Thriller" Shane Rich.  We hope to see you there.  Get your tickets by clicking here.
