I know I'm a week behind on this, but I've been out in the woods and unable to blog.  Just wanted to write a quick piece on Brodus Clay's recent loss to the Big Show.

Quite honestly, I'm not surprised, but I am disappointed.  It seemed like Funkasaurus was on an incredible role, initially winning squash matches over Heath Slater and JTG to eventually beating former champs like the Miz and Dolph Ziggler.  While I didn't expect Brodus to go undefeated for a long time, I felt like this could have been drawn out a bit longer.  I even thought they might have saved the match for a pay per view.  Funkasaurus could have been kept off Raw and continued getting victories over upper mid card talent until the Big Show showdown.

I'll be curious to see if this angle is now over with Big Show and Clay or if Funkasaurus will get involved in costing Show the Money in the Bank ladder match in a couple of weeks.  If the feud goes on, I hope they at least give Brodus a win to help as he climbs the ranks.  Let's face it, Big Show is over 40 and is probably going to start winding things down.  Clay is an up and comer who could greatly benefit by being put over by the Big Show.  Hopefully WWE Creative sees things that way too.
